What Happened

Colorado Highway Patrol officials are investigating a pair of crashes that occurred in the same area and involved multiple vehicles at I-25 in Weld County, CO on June 13th, 2022. The first crash, occurring around 1:30 p.m., involved four vehicles and occurred when a semi-truck collided with the rear of a Ford Edge, creating chain-reaction collision conditions. Four people were killed in the crash while one person was hospitalized with minor injuries. The second crash, occurring around 2:22 p.m., involved a motorcycle alleged traveling at an unknown high rate of speed and semi-truck colliding when the motorcycle changed lanes. The cyclist suffered fatal injuries while the truck driver was not injured.
