What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a woman at I-95 in Greenwich, CT on July 1st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. A Mercedes-Benz collided with the rear of an Audi A4 operated by 45-year-old Josephine Sciarrino. The Audi was pushed from the road into the rear of a tractor-trailer parked in a shoulder. Sciarrino suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Police say the Mercedes also struck another vehicle causing that driver injuries. The driver of the Mercedes was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
