Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that injured a child at Shingle Point Rd in Georgetown, DE on July 6th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 11 a.m. An ATV carrying three children under 18 collided with a truck under unclear circumstances. A 12-year-old was ejected from the ATV and hospitalized with serious injuries. Police say the truck stopped and the driver allegedly exited and checked on the children before getting back in the car and leaving the scene. The 12-year-old was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
