What Happened

Delaware State Police are investigating a collision that killed a pedestrian at US 13 in Seaford, DE on August 17th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:10 p.m. Investigators are saying 46-year-old Edward A Hamorski was walking northbound in a shoulder when at some point, he crossed into a northbound right travel lane. He was then struck by a tractor-trailer that attempted to swerve to avoid striking Hamorski. Hamorski suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The tractor-trailer driver was not injured.
