What Happened

Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at Sundown Rd and Burnite Mill Rd in Felton, DE on September 13th, 2023. Polices say the incident happened around 7:36 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-650 headed westbound on Burnite Mill Rd was nearing Sandtown Road at the time. Officials say a tractor-trailer headed eastbound on Burnite Mill Road collided with the Ford after the Ford veered right in an effort to avoid a collision. One person involved, the 44-year-old Woodside man operating the Ford, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was not injured, according to sources. Additional information was not immediately available.
