What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a collision that killed a woman at SW 109 Ave in Sweetwater, FL on November 20th, 2024. Officials are saying the incident happened around 8:21 a.m. as a private school bus was turning eastbound. Officials say the bus struck 22-year-old Anjali Persaud as she crossed. Reports say there is not a stop sign in the area for northbound traffic. Persaud was taken to an area hospital with injuries she later died from.
