Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at US 27 and Harbor Dr in Polk County, FL on November 29th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. According to investigators, a semi-truck was performing a u-turn from US 27 as a GMC Sierra traveled northbound. Officials say the GMC struck the truck in the process, leaving the driver of the GMC with fatal injuries. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured, police say.
