What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at US 301 in Tampa, FL on November 30th, 2022. Police say the incident happened as a northbound tractor-trailer operated by an unnamed 47-year-old Odessa man was entering a turn lane to travel not Selmon Expressway. At some point, the truck is said to have traveled into the path of a second vehicle before becoming jackknifed in the southbound lanes. The driver of the vehicle that was struck, an unnamed 51-year-old Brandon, FL man, was killed in the collision. The Odessa man suffered minor injuries. Police had no additional information to share.
