What Happened

Polk County Sheriff's Office authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at Frontage Rd in Lakeland, FL on October 14th, 2021. Police say the incident happened as a Toyota Rav4 was traveling east in a westbound lane. Both the Toyota and an approaching box truck attempted to avoid the collision before crashing head-on. The Rav4 driver, 43-year-old Eric Farr, was hospitalized with injuries that he later died from. The other driver, 39-year-old Jorge Rodriguez, was treated for minor injuries.
