Florida Highway Patrol Officials are investigating a crash that killed four people at I-95 in Indian River County, FL on July 1st, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2:15 a.m. Investigators are saying a Toyota Camry collided with the rear of a Suzuki Vitara under unclear circumstances. While both vehicle were stopped in travel lanes, reports say an approaching Dodge Journey collided with the Suzuki. Following this, an approaching semi-truck is said to have collided with the Dodge, creating a crash involving nearby vehicles. Reports say both the Vitara and Camry operators were fatally injured. Two occupants of the Dodge, including a 7-year-old child, were both killed. Four additional Dodge occupants were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
