What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a collision that killed a pedestrian at Peachtree St and US 1 in Cocoa, FL on February 17th, 2022. Police say around 6 a.m., 61-year-old Jimmy Mayfield was crossing the street on-foot en route to a nearby gas station when he was struck by a semi-truck at the intersection.
