Florida Highway Patrol officials have information related to a collision that injured a pedestrian at Americana Blvd in Orlando, FL on September 23rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:30 a.m. A 25-year-old male pedestrian was crossing the road in a crosswalk when he was struck by a school bus that swerved to avoid a vehicle attempting to go around the bus as it stopped for students. The pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries. No students were injured and charges are expected for the driver of the vehicle that did not stop as legally required.
