What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at  I-4 in Hillsborough County, FL on August 13th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 11:41 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 51-year-old Grand Island man reportedly changed lanes into the path of a westbound car. The car then collided with the rear of the truck before overturning, ejecting the 31-year-old man driving. He suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
