What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at I-75 in Gainesville, FL on June 14th, 2023. Police say the incident happened between two semi-trucks under unclear circumstances. One of the semi-trucks collided with the rear of the second truck and a 55-year-old driver required emergency extrication from the truck. He was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. A 10-year-old passenger was also hospitalized. Additional information is not available at this time.
