What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials have information on a crash that killed a man at US 301 and US 98 in Zephyrhills, FL on January 19th, 2024. Police say the incident happened as a tractor-trailer headed southbound attempted a turn onto US 98. Police say it collided with a northbound Ford F-250 in the process, the collision causing the Ford to overturn into a light pole. Police say the 63-year-old man operating the Ford died at the scene while a 57-year-old passenger was hospitalized with serious injuries. Police also say the 76-year-old operator of the tractor-trailer had injuries believed to be minor in nature. Additional information was not available.
