Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a collision that killed one person involved at East MLK Jr Blvd in Tampa, FL on March 17th, 2025. Police say the incident happened around 1 p.m. According to investigators, a dump truck is alleged to have failed to stop for traffic ahead before colliding with the rear of a minivan while swerving to avoid a crash. From there, the truck entered into a shoulder, striking an individual thee, leaving that individual, who was not publicly identified, fatally injured. The driver of the minivan was hospitalized with injuries he died from. Two other drivers were treated for minor injuries, as were two minors in the minivan. Additional information was not available.
