What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a collision that killed a driver at State Route 80 in Hendry County, FL on April 14th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10 a.m. According to their investigation, a box truck headed westbound on County Rd 833 collided with the rear of a disabled box truck that was on the shoulder of an outside lane. It then lost control and crossed across a median before overturning. The driver of the box truck died at the scene. The other driver was not injured.
