What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a teen at US 27 in Broward County, FL on March 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:45 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer collided with the rear of a Nissan sedan under unclear circumstances, causing the sedan to lost control and rotate into a shoulder. Police say the sedan was occupied by nine people and a 15-year-old in the vehicle suffered fatal injuries. Two 31-year-old adults and six children in the vehicle were treated for undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
