What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that injured three people at I-75 at Wildwood, FL on September 9th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:32 p.m. A Mack truck operated by a 26-year-old New Port Richey man lost control and jackknifed into a guardrail. The trailer then went into the path of a Volvo operated by a 79-year-old Lutz man followed by a flatbed truck striking the Volvo. The driver of the semi, Volvo driver and a passenger were all hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the semi was also cited for Careless Driving.
