Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash at Bonita Beach Rd in Bonita Springs, FL on August 18th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2 p.m. A van headed west on Bonita Beach Rd was in a left turn lane at an intersection as a box truck headed east approached. The van turned where a posted "Left Turn Yield on Green" sign was posted and into the path of the box truck. The vehicles collided, causing two people to suffer fatal injuries.
