What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at I-75 near Bushnell, FL on August 24th, 2021. Police say the incident happened when a tractor-trailer took evasive action to avoid a truck ahead that was slowing. It then veered across a center line and overturned inside a guardrail. An SUV was then pushed into the rear of a box truck and the first truck collided with a tractor-trailer carrying metal pipes. The driver of the SUV, a 1-year-old passenger and the driver of the pipe truck all suffered minor injuries. The driver of the first truck suffered fatal injuries.
