Florida Highway Patrol officials have information on a crash that killed two people at State Rd 54 in Wesley Chapel, FL on April 7th, 2023. Police say the incident happened when a westbound vehicle allegedly turned into the path of a tractor-trailer headed eastbound. The driver of the passenger car, an unidentified 81-year-old Zephyrhills woman and a 38-year-old passenger, were both taken to an area hospital. Police say both died from their injuries. An additional passenger was hospitalized with serious injuries. The truck driver was reportedly uninjured. Additional information was not available.
