Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a woman at  I-595 in Broward County, FL on June 8th, 2022. Police say a passenger vehicle believed to be a Nissan became disabled for unknown reasons in an inside travel lane. The woman reportedly exited the vehicle once it was brought into a shoulder before she was struck by a passing vehicle. This created a chain reaction crash involving a Chevrolet and tractor-trailer. The woman died at the scene while a 4-year-old passenger was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. No word was provided regarding the condition of the other drivers.
