Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a woman at I-75 and Alico Rd near Fort Myers, FL on June 7th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 3:49 a.m. According to investigators, a Kida sedan is said to have struck the rear of a semi-truck for unclear reasons after veering from the roadway into a paved outside shoulder. A 21-year-old passenger in the vehicle was fatally injured. The driver, age 28, was hospitalized with minor injuries, reports say. Additional information was not immediately available.
