What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a woman at US 41 and Deer Run Rd in Hernando County, FL on February 2nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:32 p.m. A motorcycle headed northbound at the intersection with Deer Run Road collided with a southbound dump truck. Investigators believe the motorcycle entered the southbound lane to pass traffic before the vehicles collided. The 55-year-old woman operating the motorcycle suffered fatal injuries after she was ejected from the bike in the crash.
