What Happened

Georgia State Patrol officials are investigating a crash involving a firefighter at Manor Millwood Rd, Millwood, GA, USA on June 22nd, 2023. Police say they responded to the scene of the accident around 12:40 p.m. According to investigators, a fire truck is said to have been headed southbound on Manor Millwood prior to leaving the roadway. The vehicle went into a shoulder and went onto a spin before striking a tree, overturning onto its passenger side. A firefighter riding asa  front seat passenger, identified as Bobby "Blue" Smith, was killed in the crash. Additional intimation about the crash was not available.
