What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed two people at Georgia Welcome Center in Port Wentworth, GA pm February 21st, 2024. Police say the incident involved an 18-wheeler allegedly traveling a high rate of speed colliding with another 18-wheeler in the parking lot of the Welcome Center. This created a chain-reaction style crash involving four other vehicles, which all caught fire. Reports say two people, including Charles Steven, suffered fatal injuries.
