What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed two sisters at State Route 4 in Toombs County, GA on March 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened when a Saturn occupied by the sisters allegedly turned onto GA 4 from Five Points Rd into the path of a tractor-trailer. Both 18-year-old Desirae Lee Cannon and her 14-year-old sister suffered fatal injuries in the collision at the scene. Additional information was not immediately available.
