State Police are investigating a collision that injured a driver at River Rd in Burke County, GA on June 23rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:08 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer headed eastbound on River Rd veered left to avoid colliding with the rear of a vehicle stopped in traffic. It traveled into the path of a Volkswagen Jetta in the process, leaving the driver of the Jetta, Jakob Evans, with serious injuries. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The truck driver and passenger were not injured.
