What Happened

Georgia State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at SR 316 in Statham, GA on November 30th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 7 a.m. A tractor-trailer attempting to enter eastbound lanes of the highway when it was struck y a westbound Honda HRV. Investigators say the truck was blocking the westbound lanes while entering and that the driver of the Honda, 26-year-old Lauranne Teyssier, suffered fatal injuries. The truck driver, 66-year-old Richard Fearing, was not injured and is said to be facing charges.
