What Happened

State Police are investigating a collision that injured a driver at GA 365 in Alto, GA on April 4th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:30 a.m. According to investigators a Mack truck was attempting a wide left-hand turn when it pulled into a travel lane. It was then struck on the right side by a Ford Escape, the impact pushing the Ford into a median where it overturned. The driver of the Ford, Leslie Soledad-Zavala, was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the dump truck, identified as 38-year-old Adam Ortiz, was charged with making an improper turn.
