What Happened

State Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that left a man dead at I-75 near Mt Zion Blvd in Clayton County, GA on July 10th, 2023. Police believe the crash happened around 1:09 a.m. and began when a vehicle lost control and collided with a barrier wall. The vehicle came to rest in the shoulder while partially in a left lane of travel.  Investigators say that vehicle was struck by an approaching vehicle in the far left lane of trail, which became disabled following the collision. The driver of the second vehicle is said to have exited his vehicle after the crash before being struck by an approaching tractor-trailer. The man, who was not publicly identified, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Additional information was not provided.
