Area authorities are investigating a collision that killed a driver at I-85 in Jackson County, GA on September 29th, 2021. Police say the incident happened as traffic was coming to a stop in a construction zone. A commercial truck failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a Toyota Camry in front of it. The Camry was pushed into a tractor-trailer ahead carrying industrial acid. The driver of the Camry died at the scene. Another driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
