What Happened

Atlanta Police are investigating a crash that killed a woman at Lee St and Sylvan Rd in College Park, GA on March 19th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:25 p.m. Investigators are saying a Ford F-250 owned by the city was headed northbound in southbound lanes before colliding with a Chevrolet Silverado, Ford Fiesta and Saturn Vue. After coming to a stop, the driver, identified as 45-year-old Donald Jackson, allegedly fled the scene. A passenger in the Vue, an unnamed woman, suffered fatal injuries. Police say Jackson has been charged with felony homicide by vehicle, felony hit-and-run and reckless driving. The conditions of anyone else involved was not stated.
