What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at Hwy 93 near Jerome, ID on October 17th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:23 a.m and involved five vehicles. Investigators believe a southbound Honda Pilot making a left turn was struck in the rear by a Honda CR-V, causing it to become disabled in a middle lane. An approaching commercial truck struck the Honda, causing it to veer into a northbound lane and strike a tractor-trailer. A Nissan Pathfinder struck the rear of that truck after the collision. The driver of the commercial truck died at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer and Nissan were both hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
