What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision that killed a man at US Hwy 26 near Swan Valley, ID on October 29th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:39 p.m. An unidentified 51-year-old Fort Worth man was headed eastbound in a tractor-trailer when a Ford F-250 collided with the truck. The Ford had previously suffered a tire- blowout in a westbound lane and crossed into the eastbound lane. After the collision, the Ford caught fire and the driver died at the scene. The Fort Wirth man and a female passenger were treated for minor injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
