What Happened

State Police have information on a crash that killed a motorcyclist at Irving Park Rd in Bensenville, IL on July 31st, 2023. Police say it happened just after 10 p.m. According to investigators, a tow truck operated by 42-year-old Joseph Sarb was westbound on Irving Park Rd prior to turning left to enter a business lot. It has been alleged after the vehicle was struck by an eastbound motorcycle, the truck fled the scene. The motorcyclist, identified as 46-year-old Daruisz Zalewski, was ejected from the motorcycle in the collision and suffered fatal injuries shortly after hospital transport. Police say Sarb was located and arrested on a charge of leaving the scene of a fatal accident. Additional information was not available.
