What Happened

Chicago Police are investigating a collision that killed a driver at I-94 and 59th St in Chicago, IL on April 4th, 2025. Authorities say the incident happened around 11:35 p.m. Officials say the a Nissan became disabled in a lane of moving travel before it was rear-ended by an approaching semi-truck. Officials say the sedan operator, who was not publicly identified, was taken to an area hospital with injuries they later died from. A passenger in the vehicle was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Authorities did not have additional information available.
