Area authorities are investigating a two vehicle crash that killed a person at Route 120 and Hainesville Rd in Hainesville, IL on May 23rd, 2022. Polices say the incident happened around 7 a.m. According to investigators, a dump truck was crossing the road at a railroad crossing when it was struck by a Metra train. The driver of the truck, identified as 41-year-old Jesus Castrejon  died at the scene. A passenger on the train was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
