What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that injured three men at State Route 47 near Gibson City, IL on July 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:51 p.m. According to investigators, a semi-truck reportedly failed to reduce its speed and collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Express van. The van had reportedly been waiting for oncoming traffic to pass before making a turn onto Harvest Lane. Three passengers in the van, identified as 34-year-old Jordan Hill, 28-year-old Maitias Gonzalez and 45-year-old Jose Monero, were hospitalized for treatment of minor injuries. Police say one driver was cited for failure to reduce speed.
