Illinois Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at Route 47 near Beith Rd in Elburn, IL on August 8th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:18 a.m. Police allege a Mazda pickup truck may have missed a posted stop sign before colliding with a southbound semi-truck at the intersection. The collision caused the pickup truck to catch fire, leaving an occupant of the Mazda with fatal injuries. Police identified the victim as 49-year-old Juan Galvez.
