What Happened

Salem Police have information on a collision that injured one person at West Main and Missouri Ave in Salem, IL won July 7th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2 p.m. According to investigators, a vehicle operated by 48-year-old Linda Copple was stopped at a stop sign at Missouri Ave when it was struck in the rear by a semi-truck operated by 39-year-old Eric Warren. Copple was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be minor in nature. Warren is said to have been uninjured and was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed.
