State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at State Route 124 near Sherman, IL on May 31st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:08 p.m. Investigators believe a man was mowing grass using a riding lawnmower on the west side of the roadway before attempting to cross. As he did so, he was struck by a semi-truck headed southbound towards Sherman. The impact caused fatal injuries for the man. The truck driver was not injured.
