What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at US Route 45 in Harrisburg, IL on September 1st, 2022. Police believe the incident happened around 4:45 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram is said to have veered into northbound lanes and sideswiped two vehicles before crashing head-on into a semi-truck. The Dodge driver, 50-year-old Michael Woodley, was taken to an area hospital and later pronounced dead from injuries in the crash. The truck driver was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The other two drivers involved were reportedly uninjured.
