What Happened

Illinois State Police are investigating a collision that injured two people at I-355 and North Ave in Chicago, IL on August 22nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:20 a.m. A FedEx truck headed northbound collided with a passenger car that police say may have been parked in a moving lane of travel. The FedEx truck driver was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the passenger car was also hospitalized with unknown injuries. Additional information was not available.
