What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at I-80 in Bureau County, IL on June 23rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened when a westbound semi-truck lost control for unknown reasons before veering into a median. From there, police say the vehicle collided with an eastbound truck and both trucks were struck by a third semi-truck directly after, causing the vehicles to catch fire in the impact.
