What Happened

Illinois State Police are investigating a crash that killed two people at  State Route 3 in Alexander County, IL on January 30th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4:42 a.m. A northbound Ford box truck and southbound Mercedes-Benz collided with the box truck reportedly crossed into the southbound lane for unknown reasons. The driver and passenger of the box truck died at the scene. The driver of the Mercedes, identified as 47-year0old Correy Wilson, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
