What Happened

Indiana State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at State Route 2 and County Rd 600 in La Porte County, IN on August 10th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:46 a.m. A Kenworth semi-truck headed eastbound was preparing to turn left to head westbound when it collided with a GMC pickup truck. The GMC driver, 22-year-old Barbara Stanish, suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The truck driver was not injured. Additional information was not available.
