What Happened

Indiana State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at State Rd 37 in Madison County, IN on August 19th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:30 a.m. A Honda SUV operated by 41-year-old Benjamin Capshaw was headed northbound when it collided with a southbound tractor-trailer under unclear circumstances. Capshaw was trapped in the SUV when it caught fire and suffered fatal injuries. The truck driver, 43-year-old Frank Power and his passenger were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
