What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a child at I-465 and Mann Rd in Indianapolis, IN on July 25th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 5:20 p.m. Authorities claim a semi-truck allegedly failed to stop for traffic ahead before colliding with a second semi-truck and three cars. Authorities say the driver of one of the cars was seriously injured, as was a 9-year-old boy in the vehicle. Both were taken to an area hospital where the boy later died from his injuries. A 5-year-old child also involved was hospitalized with injuries said to be non-life-threatening. Authorities did not have any additional information.
